Sami & Kerrie | Loch Lomond Wedding
I don’t think I’ll ever forget this wedding.
Sami and Kerrie chose to get married over looking Loch Lomond. They had their hearts set on an outdoor wedding with the lock as the backdrop, unfortunately Scotland is not known for its sunshine. It rained all morning and the couple were told their ceremony was likely to be indoors, but around 5 minutes before the clouds parted and the sun shined through. This was my first Humanist ceremony and it was as incredible as I hoped it would be. It was super personal, starting with a Mexican wave hug, where each guest took it in turns to hug the person next to them. Sami and Kerrie had written their own vows and had a hand tying which is a Scottish tradition. As soon as the ceremony finished the heavens opened and everyone grabbed their chair and ran inside, perfect timing.
Later in the day a rainbow appeared at the end of the jetty, I have never seen a couple run so fast! Sami even lost her shoe in the loch, which after taking the rainbow pictures, I later fished it back out.
A massive thank you to Amy Faith for inviting me along to shoot this incredible wedding. I hope you all love these images as much as I do.
