Scrivelsby Walled Garden Wedding

I had such a brilliant time with Beth and Tom, photographing their Scrivelsby Walled Garden wedding. Nestled in the heart of Lincolnshire, Scrivelsby Walled Garden is a beautiful tipi venue set within the most incredible gardens. The day was super personal and fun, with their best friend conducting the ceremony and surprise singing waiters.

Bridal prep in Lion Gate Lodge

I arrived at bridal prep at Lion Gate Lodge, perfectly situated across the road from Scrivelsby Walled Garden. Beth was getting her hair done when I arrived and told me the hilarious story of the night before: she buried a sausage in a field but lost her BnB key and had to go back and hunt for it. If you haven’t heard yet, burying a sausage the night before your wedding is said to bring good weather for your big day—and you know what? It worked! It was dry all day.

Beth wore a beautiful Grace Loves Lace gown paired with a long lace-trimmed veil, pearl jewellery, and shoes. Her bridesmaid did her makeup, and she looked incredible. Her green and white bouquet by Green Gate Blooms tied everything together perfectly.

After a super heartfelt first look with her dad, it was time to head over to the ceremony.

The ceremony

As previously mentioned, the ceremony was conducted by the couple’s best friend, and I can’t even put into words what a brilliant job he did. It was emotional and funny, telling the story of their lives and engagement. At parts, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. They also chose to have their nephews as ring bearers and gave them hilarious little ‘ring security’ briefcases, which was such a fun and personal touch and they both did a fab job looking after the rings.

Pictures and Reception at Scriveslby Walled Garden

The great thing about Scrivelsby Walled Garden is that everything takes place within the garden walls, so it’s all close by. I was absolutely spoilt for choice for where to take the family and couple pictures; the whole venue is completely breathtaking, with endless flowers and pretty walls.

Beth and Tom are vegetarian and vegan, so they chose for all the food to be veggie, which for me was a total win. We had nachos, followed by an insanely good burrito, and for dessert, they had a selection of the most amazing-looking brownies for all their guests to choose from.

The couple had six speeches, which were all so lovely; you could really tell how close everyone was. Hilariously, they all said the same thing: that Beth and Tom were the perfect yin-yang, with Beth being super fast-paced and Tom very chilled.

The singing waiters and party

DJ Scott kicked off the dance floor by announcing the couple for their first dance, but halfway through, the power cut out. Everyone was gutted and there were suggestions of singing, when the brilliant singing waiters came in and absolutely kick-started the party. From there, it was the best chaos, with sing-offs and follow-the-leader dance-offs. Everyone was on the dance floor and having a ball. I was gutted to be leaving and not partying the night away with everyone.

A huge thank you to you both for asking me to be a part of such a special day, here are your previews.
